In the words of Donny & Marie Osmond, “I’m a little bit country, and I’m a little bit kielbasa”… or something like that. I am the proud product of a Polish mama and a hillbilly dad, and I love both sides of my heritage.
Born in Chicago, I spent the first five years of life living among my Polish relatives until my father decided he wanted to raise his kids back home “in the country” of West Virginia. We left Chicago, although not for good; we spent a lot time there as the years went by. In effect, we got the best (and some of the rest) of both worlds and a unique multi-dimensional experience.
